Thank you for your interest in connecting with UD students. Whether you have been actively recruiting at UD for years or you are interested in establishing a new relationship, we are excited to assist you with your recruitment goals.
Post a Job or Internship
We use Handshake for all of our job postings for students and alumni. If you already have a Handshake account, add University of Dubuque to Your Schools. If you do not have a Handshake account, you can create your free account at dbq.joinhandshake.com.
Become a Mock Interviewer Volunteer
We invite employers to participate in our Mock Interview Program as a volunteer interviewer. Through collaboration with academic departments, UD undergraduate and graduate students participate in this program to develop their interview skills and receive a critique of their resume and cover letter. This program also serves as a networking opportunity for students within their field of interest. To learn more about the Mock Interview Program or if you are interested in participating, please reach out to our office at [email protected] to review dates and available opportunities.
Information Tables
You may reserve a table to meet students and promote your employment opportunities. Please contact our office at [email protected] to schedule. Tables must be reserved at least 5 days in advance.
Career Fairs
We plan career fairs and events that are open to UD students and alumni. Employer registration is required via Handshake for the events. For more details, please contact us at [email protected]
More information for each fair will be available in our events section. Employers will be able to register for each event in Handshake.
Internships
Internships are a great way for employers to identify talent early while providing students the opportunity to explore career paths and gain real-world experiences. At UD, we strongly encourage students to participate in these high-impact educational opportunities. UD Career Services can help you identify candidates, connect with academic departments (some require students to complete an internship), and market your opportunity.
Recruiting and Informational Events
Our professional staff is ready to help you connect with our students through meaningful events. You could consider scheduling an informational session about a professional development topic, host an open house event to promote internships and employment opportunities, or organize an employer site visit to highlight your employees while educating students about various career opportunities. Contact us at [email protected] for additional information or recommendations.
Community Service Projects
The students at the University of Dubuque look for ways to become more engaged in the community through service initiatives. If you are in need of volunteers or have an idea of how your employees and our students can work together, let's talk!
Success Shop Donations
The UD Success Shop is a resource for students that provides free professional clothing for interviews or other events. The Success Shop receives donations from the community of new and gently used professional clothing that is clean and free of stains, holes, and odor.
Donate your new and gently used professional clothing that is clean and free of stains, holes, and odor. Donations may be dropped off during scheduled open hours in the Center for Advising and Vocation, lower level, Peters Commons.
