An internship is a professional learning experience where you apply what you learned in the classroom to a real-world employment setting. The internship offers meaningful, practical work related to your field of study or career interest. The position can be paid or unpaid and offers employers the opportunity to bring new ideas and energy into the workplace, develop new talent and potentially build a pipeline for future full-time employees.
Each academic department has identified Internship Instructors and you should consult with your Academic Advisor to confirm your assigned Internship Instructor from your department. The Internship Instructor will provide you access to the internship learning agreement and other requirements for the academic experience.
The Office of Vocation, Career Services, and Community Engagement will provide assistance to students seeking and applying for internships and can help with reviewing your resume and cover letter if this is required.
